Medical Center Portal at Harry Hines Boulevard & Inwood Road

Designed the first gateway district portal for the City of Dallas at the Harry Hines Boulevard and Inwood Road Cloverleaf. The Medical Center District is bordered on three sides by the St. Paul Medical Center and The University Texas Southwest Medical Center. We analyzed traffic flow, vehicular visibility at posted speeds and existing site and landscape conditions. Visual enhancements included turf covered earth berms, street trees, flowering ornamentals, shrub / seasonal beds and multicolored paving patterns at high visibility points. The project was completed in 1998.
